It allows for active surveillance of the tie downs holding cargo in place on trailers. The Load Tension Alert Device includes a portable receiver and a number of tension detectors (transmitters). The tie down straps and cables are slipped through the wireless transmitter, which detects tension changes. When tension loss is detected, an alert message is sent to the receptor which is located in the truck’s cabine within the driver’s view, keeping him/her informed on his tie downs at all times.
